On March 1, 2026, the Board of Empowered to Thrive visited Mt Hermon AME church in Ft. Lauderdale to present an award to one of our thrivers, Dr. Allen, who is known for his numerous acts of support to the community. We went to honor him, but the caliber of this man made the honor all ours. Thank you, Dr. Allen for everything you do for the community and thrivers like yourself.
Fun fact: Dr. Allen was also one of our models in last year's thrivers fashion show and he will be gracing the stage again this year!
